Benefits

Cadmould® 3D-F Fiber calculates the orientation of fibers and molecules during the injection molding of plastic parts. The simulation software makes allowance for compressibility and conducts its calculations as a function of temperature.

You can use Fiber for the precise advance determination of anisotropies – i.e. the directional dependence of mechanical properties – as well as of locally differing shrinkage and warpage behavior. You can then align the fiber orientation in the plastic to the application in question with considerably fewer test loops.

Functions

  • Calculates the fiber orientation over the thickness of the molded part during the filling and packing phases
  • Offers a sound basis for calculating shrinkage and warpage in anisotropic materials
  • Outputs results as animations and 3D sections and transfers them to FE systems via Converse.
  • Permits a structural analysis and the further use of the results in an integrative injection-molding-simulation application.
